I started Adelaide Hills Next Step Support because I believe in showing up for people. I’m here to listen, support, and walk alongside you as you build greater independence and confidence in the community.

Every time you contact Adelaide Hills Next Step Support, you are connecting with me personally. an older person who understands life's challenges (though sometimes my wife Michelle handles administration, pictured below with me). I don't have any contractors or other workers – it's just ME, which means you get consistent, personal support from someone who truly knows your story.

My approach is built on authentic engagement. I take the time to understand your unique goals and challenges, always working alongside you to help you grow, develop new skills, and build the confidence to participate fully in community life.

My Story

I bring a deeply personal understanding to disability support. I've been the full-time carer/Father to my son, who was diagnosed with autism at age 3. I've spent many years being present during his therapies and learning DIRECTLY from some exceptional therapists. Now, as my son enters adulthood, I'm channelling that hands-on experience and knowledge into creating better outcomes for others.

I particularly enjoy working with mature clients who may be struggling to connect with community life. Many of these clients find it challenging to relate to younger support workers or feel they have little in common with them. I love filling that gap – seeing clients who may have withdrawn from community activities start to smile again, rediscover their sense of play and joy, and grow in independence to the point where they feel comfortable suggesting their own activities and adventures.
